Fairco customer delighted with call-out repair service

20th January 2017 by The Fairco Team

Fairco customer delighted with call-out repair service

Fairco customer Lynda Butcher called our head office on Thursday, January 19th to request an emergency repair to the lock on her front door.

Lynda made it clear that she was under pressure and needed her door repaired as soon as possible.

Two hours after making her call, our engineer Gareth had called to her home, assessed the damage and made a swift repair, securing Lynda’s home once more.

The Fairco story

Fairco Windows and Doors supply and install replacement windows and doors with enhanced resistance to intrusion to the residential and self-build sector.

Fairco manufacturers our own range of enhanced-security windows which are so tough, a human being cannot generate enough force to break through, and any traditional methods used by burglars have been closed off thanks to a series of enhanced high-security measures.

Fairco are offering to give householders €3,000 if an intruder even attempts to gain access to their home.

Fairco are the first Irish company to achieve the ‘police-preferred specification’ PAS 024 certification and their windows and doors have never been penetrated in a domestic situation.

Fairco have also advised the Gardai and neighbourhood watch schemes on how burglars operate, and how to beat them, and feel that a new breed of burglar have taken over from the traditional opportunist – one that is not deterred by alarms and cameras.

Founded by Dubliner Jim Toal in 1998, Fairco have grown from an initial two employees to a workforce of 32 at three locations in Dublin; Terenure, Kilbarrack and Ireland’s largest indoor showhouse on the Old Airport Road in Santry and have serviced over 15,000 customers in the Dublin area.

The ultimate customer testimonial

4th August 2016 by The Fairco Team

The ultimate customer testimonial

17

At Fairco 65% of our business comes from word of mouth.
From your first interaction with our customer service advisors, to our surveyor’s site visit, to our installers vacuuming your home on completion of your project, we are confident you will be happy to have chosen Fairco.
Below you will find a customer testimonial that we feel represents the lengths we are prepared to go to make our customers happy.

I have been involved in food retail all my life and have been very fortunate to have worked for Feargal Quinn – a master in customer service – at Superquinn for over 20 years before going into consultancy 10 years ago working for retailers such as Donnybrook Fair, JC Savages,  Fitzers Catering Group.

I really get and understand the importance of good staff and customer service.

Feargal Quinn used to preach to his management team about giving the customer the “Perfect Shopping Experience”.

We (including myself) can be very quick to criticise when service is bad, but maybe not as quick to praise really good customer service.

I have to commend the owners of Fairco for the level and focus on customer service and quality of their work, as it obviously comes from the top!

This great service experience started when we walked into your showroom in Terenure and then with your team in Swords.

A special acknowledgment must go Kevin who came to the house to go through layouts etc, but also to the fitters Paul and his lads, and Gary and Paul last Friday.

Everybody is so professional and down-to-earth and gave us an absolute terrific experience and you are all great ambassadors for your company and brand – well done!

They say the best form of marketing and advertising is “Word of Mouth”. Well, you have just recruited two more marketing people in Jane and myself.

So as I said earlier, we probably don’t say it enough, but “Well Done” and thank you!

Stephen Carr, Dublin. 17 July, 2016.

VIDEO: What sets Fairco Windows & Doors apart?

At Fairco we’re passionate about windows and doors – it’s what sets us apart.

We have a lifetime’s experience in making windows and doors that last a lifetime.

We know what we want from our products, and with over 15,000 customers, we know what you want too: windows and doors that meet the highest safety specifications available, matching cutting edge design with the ultimate combination of warmth and security.

You see – a window is not simply a window – and a door can be so much more.

Fairco windows and doors feature high-impact security glass and unique locking devices that are guaranteed to secure your home.

They all carry an accreditation called Secure By Design, which is preferred by police forces Europe-wide and we are the only company in Ireland with the PAS 011 and PAS 023 and Pas 024 standards which certify enhanced resistance to intrusion.

Our standard window locks incorporate shootbolts, hinge-claws and upgraded defender hinges – making them impossible to breach.

Our doors feature the most up-to-date anti-drill security barrels on the market.

As well as featuring anti-pick locks, they also cannot be bumped (hit with a heavy hammer) and are impossible to grip.

But they are not the only things that make us different.

When it comes to windows and doors, ours are designed to match your dreams.

While most companies focus on the outside perspective, we emphasise the inside view – matching architraves and a liner and framing the window with equal sightline perspectives.

Our doors combine the best of Irish design with the best of home-grown materials, producing pieces that will frame your home forever.

At Fairco, we secure your comfort with windows and doors that minimise your heat loss and maximise your savings.

We pride ourselves on offering value to the homeowner, by offering once in a lifetime windows and doors, at once in a lifetime prices.

Quality at a fair price ensured not just survival, but success – even during the recession

30th October 2015 by The Fairco Team

Source: independent.ie: http://www.independent.ie/business/quality-at-a-fair-price-ensured-not-just-survival-but-success-even-during-the-recession-31436716.html

For the majority of businesses in Ireland, the recession resulted in a struggle for survival, with many forced to cut staff numbers as a result. However, for Jim Toal, founder of Fairco Windows & Doors, in Dublin, the opposite was true – his company expanded and thrived during the economic collapse.

“Even in the middle of the recession, we were able to turnover €4m a year,” he reveals. “As other companies went out of business, we ended up with more and more market share – and we were expanding and hiring staff when everyone else had to laying off people.”
Toal set up the company in 1999, following an 11-year career in sales, much of which was spent in the domestic windows market.
Having secured a lease on a property in Clontarf, he opened his first showroom on a small budget with the help of his wife, Suzanne. With just a van and a handful of students hired to ring on the doors of homeowners in the surrounding areas, Toal spent months driving around Dublin making house calls to potential customers.

“From an early age, I just wanted to be an entrepreneur,” he says. “My parents went ballistic when I was working in sales at 18. They felt I should be in college, and that I should get a paying job instead of working on commission – but it was something that I wanted to do. I enjoy meeting people and I like the challenge of selling something.”

By designing windows that were both attractive and safe – a combination that was unheard of during the Nineties – the business soon grew to be the leading brand that it is today.

“Typically the PVC windows that had come into Ireland in 1984 were from Germany. They were good but were aesthetically unappealing. They had very heavy chunky frames and people wanted a slimmer look.

“I was lucky to work with a company that were big in the UK, and with my help they designed a window that was designed and moulded to look like a timber window. We specced it up with the best locks and it did really well.

“Through word of mouth and recommendations, we soon went from doing about £240,000 in our first year of trading, to breaking a million pounds in our second year – which was phenomenal,” he says.

These days, innovative design is still key to the company’s success. It recently launched Ireland’s first burglar-proof window and door system – which is backed by a large insurance company.

Toal is passionate about offering customers a high-quality product at a fair price.

“From the day I started, I have always believed that if you are going to sell something, it has to be the very best or you are wasting your time. If I had come along in 1999 with a regular windows system, I wouldn’t be in business now.

“It took us about a year to get the burglar-proof window to the market, as we had to pass all the tests to make that claim. In the first month of it being launched last November, it made up about 1pc of our sales. Now it makes up 30pc.
