Burglars fail to break through high-impact security glass
Video footage of an attempted burglary in Florida shows just how impenetrable Fairco’s high-impact security glass can be.
And when installed in domestic windows and doors, this glass will make your home just as burglar-proof.
The CCTV footage shows two burglars attempt to smash in the front door of a gas station using hammers.
The burglars repeatedly batter the high-impact glass but fail to break through.
This same glass comes as standard in Fairco’s burglar-proof Lifestyle range of windows and doors, and is an affordable extra in our standard range.
In most standard windows and doors, the glass collapses like a vandalised bus shelter when broken and the burglar literally walks in through your back doors.
Fairco’s high-impact security glass is more akin to the windscreen of a car – it will just crack and split but will prevent a burglar from reaching his hand inside to open the handle.
Fairco have served over 15,000 customers in the greater Dublin region and have pioneered enhanced-security windows and doors in Ireland.
Fairco’s windows and doors carry an accreditation called Secure By Design, which is preferred by police forces Europe-wide.
Our windows also come with the PAS 011 and PAS 023 and PAS 024 standards which certify enhanced resistance to intrusion – and have never been penetrated in a domestic situation.
“Our windows and doors have never been broken into, and we don’t expect that they will,” said Fairco owner Jim Toal.
“We addressed a neighbourhood watch group in Terenure Garda Station and advised them that the opportunist burglar sees an opening and spends between 90 seconds and four minutes trying to gain entry into a home.
“If he gains purchase he will stay on longer. If he doesn’t, he will move to the next victim because he is concerned that he will be noticed.”
