We also use the highest quality iron components in our windows, ensuring a high-quality, premium finish. Coupled with those features, our windows can be double or triple glazed. This gives your home all the feel of traditional windows, but with all the modern comforts.
Accoya Timber Windows
Our traditional sash windows are crafted in the highest quality Accoya timber, which is well regarded for its sustainability, durability and natural insulation quality. And it is also virtually maintenance free.
Designed to last
Accoya is a long-life wood that has undergone acetylation, a cutting-edge process that enables it to resist rot, defy the elements and stay strong for decades. The timber is guaranteed for 50 years above ground and 25 years in ground, and has a 70 year minimum service life stated by TRADA, meaning its performance and properties are remarkable.
Dimensionally stable
Its swelling and shrinkage is reduced by 75% or more compared to standard timbers, meaning doors and windows open effortlessly year round. Accoya timber also benefits from reduced maintenance costs.
It’s barefoot friendly?!
While being barefoot friendly is normally an advantage when used for projects like decking, Accoya timber windows are less likely to get splinters than other woods, that you can safely run your hand along your windows while cleaning. They also have low thermal gain, meaning they are suitable for extreme temperatures and won’t become hot in the summer and cold in the winter.
Consistent Quality
Accoya timber is consistent with measurable modification quality from surface to core, meaning your windows have the same shape and consistency throughout your home, year round. The improved stability of Accoya also means it is easier to paint, needing less preparation and sanding with coats lasting up to twice as long compared to other timbers.
